Compost moving day - Saturday May 21
Submitted by christine on Mon, 2011-05-16 21:44
Last Saturday, we made a good (if wet!) start at moving our mountain of mushroom compost onto the newly built garden at Trinity Church, 480 Avalon Place. Not to worry if you missed it - we're going to gather again this coming Saturday to continue the fun! We'll hope for dry skies but we'll be out there, rain or shine, from 9am until early-mid afternoon - depending on how fast the work goes.
Many hands make for light work so we'd welcome any and all to help out. We'll have some wheelbarrows and shovels on hand but if you have your own, bring them along. For those of you that joined us for the sod-cutting day - compost-moving is WAY easier work! You will go home less dirty and less tired - we promise :)
If you have any questions, or just to let us know if you'll be coming along, send me an email at christine@vegetablepatch.ca. I'll have my cell phone with me on the day if anyone needs directions (613-697-7026).
